Commonly Asked Questions for Starbucks Puppuccino’s
What is a puppuccino?
A puppuccino is a delicious whipped topping dessert that is specifically served for our furry friends. However, if you really love whipped cream then you can totally have one for yourself. Just dont feel weird when the Starbucks barista gives you a disappointed look for stealing your dog’s treat. 👀
How much is a puppuccino?
To our amazement and luckily for you, puppuccinos continue to be free to any fluffy and furry friend that crosses Starbucks’ path, whether it be the Starbucks patio or drive thru the barista has got your pup covered with their favorite pup cup.
Where can I get a puppuccino?
Well, the puppuccino was made famous at Starbucks as its Starbucks’s secret menu item, however, that doesn’t mean that your pup can only get this delicious and creamy dessert at your local Siron cafe. There are a ton of cafes that follow Starbucks’ lead and also give out treats for pets. they may not always be puppuccinos, but we’re sure if you ask you’ll get one (hopefully)
Is it hard to make a puppuccino?
Absolutely the hardest thing you’ll ever attempt to make is a puppuccino, sike it’s honestly almost as easy as boiling water 😆. It’s literaly just whip cream. That doesnt mean just go buy the canned stuff though! Canned whipped cream and even Starbucks whipped cream used in making the puppy cups, have sweeteners and or other nasty stuff. That’s why we recommend trying our 7 different and guilt-free editions of puppuccinos that your pup will love!
Why isn’t the puppuccino on the Official Starbucks menu?
It’s on Starbucks’s secret menu item, it’s also not on the menu because it’s a free item. However no worries, it’s relatively simple to order a puppuccino.
Are puppuccinos safe for dogs?
Like most things, Starbucks puppuccinos are safe when given in moderation. However, we wouldn’t go banging on Starbucks daily for your daily puppucino because whipped cream is high in fat and can lead to digestive issues and other health problems if over-consumed in our canine buddies. So overall, no whipped cream is not actually good for dogs, but it’s very small, and when consumed in moderation and rarely you’ll have fewer problems.
Another reason we stress caution with pup cups is that some dogs are lactose intolerant and can’t digest the dairy in the whipped cream dessert; you’ll find this out the hard way when your poor pup is having horrible 💩 and other bad tummy troubles. If your dog suffers from lactose intolerance, try making them our dairy-free coconut puppuccino recipe.
Ask your pet medical professional because they are trained on this stuff and will know what’s best for your pup.
Can a puppy eat a Starbucks pup cup?
While it would probably take cans of whipped cream to do over your pup, it’s just whipped cream; we still think it would be wise to run it by your vet first. Puppies have sensitive stomachs and quickly get upset when introduced to new things. So if you, ensure they have access to the restroom for the next few hours to see their reaction. Also, the size they give pups at Starbucks is a rather large cup of whipped cream, so make sure you portion it for the puppy and give them small quantities, especially if they are also a small dog.
Can I order a puppuccino on the Starbucks app?
The day we can order our furry friends some sweetened whipped cream in a mini espresso cup to go, will be the day. However, that day is not today because it is not possible to order a Starbucks puppuccino through the Starbucks mobile app.
How to get a pup cup at Starbucks
Option 1: In order to get a much sought-after puppuccino cup that your dogs love and good dogs deserve, you’ll have to go through the drive-through lane which in our opinion is the easiest option since you dont have to worry about getting out of the car. However, it’s also a messier option since your dog will most likely make a mess when devouring his or her personal cool whip treat.
Option 2: Otherwise, option 2 is for you to enter the Starbucks cafe with your well-behaved pup and quickly order your drink and puppucchino to go. You’ll want to only do this option if there’s an outdoor setting area for you to relax at, unfortunately, dogs are not allowed to chill in the actual cafe, and if your Starbucks store is located in a grocery store that will be definitely no since dogs are not allowed there. Do pay attention to local laws as dogs are not allowed in many areas for food safety reasons.

- This special treat should only be given sparingly to your furry friend.
- You can freeze leftovers in an airtight sealed container for a few months, just make sure you defrost it fully before serving and re-fluff it up
- These recipes can also be stored in the fridge for a few days, keep in mind the fruit ones won’t last longer than 1-2 days.
- Always ask your vet about ingredients and new things before serving to your pet
- If your dog is lactose intolerant, swap out the milk products with canned coconut milk that has been refrigerated overnight
- Maple syrup can be used in exchange for honey, we dont recommend using vanilla syrup
- Use cinnamon sparingly, too much can cause stomach irritation
- If you’re looking for a slushy style drink for the base, add more ice for the base mixture in any of the recipes.
