With Christmas comes delicious holiday drinks such as Eggnog and Gingerbread Lattes! What’s not to love? However, getting your hopes up and buying a horrible-tasting one can really put a damper on your day. Don’t get us wrong some cafes, nail it when it comes to creating specialty drinks and when they do.. WOW! However, despite how good the cafe versions are, we actually love creating our own copycat versions of these drinks, especially during the holidays when finances are a little tighter for our holiday gift budget. Thus, creating these warming drinks at home is the perfect solution, plus we can always tweak the recipe to how we are feeling that day. ☺️
Back to Gingerbread Lattes! This recipe is especially amazing because of the homemade gingerbread syrup we used to really packs punch with that warm fresh from oven aroma that freshly baked gingerbread cookies give us. However, if you hate the idea of making gingerbread syrup just for one recipe, then go ahead and buy it from the store (it is hard to find though 😟).
this post is all about creating the perfect gingerbread latte from scratch! We hope you love our take on this holiday specialty drink!

- Be sure to stir in gingerbread syrup and any other sugars while the espresso is hot so that they fully dissolve. Sugars don’t dissolve very well in cold environments so thats why you want to be sure that your espresso is still piping hot.
- Because this drink is iced you may want to increase the amount of gingerbread syrup and sweeteners used as the drink will water down over time.
